Blogging in the Mud
So in case anyone who reads this noticed or even cared…I wasn’t blogging for a while. Why? You might ask. Because the server crashed and took all of my bloggy funnies with it. Yes. Yes it did. But that’s okay. I will just have to get back up, dust myself off, and start all over again.
On a different note, I’m getting really motivated to grow a garden. Anyone who knows me is probably laughing right now because God did not bless this woman with a green thumb. More like the black finger of death! Death to all things that were once destined to become vegetation. But I have this great book. Yes, I’m armed with knowledge now. The book is called All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew and he makes it really simple to understand. You get some wood. You drill holes and screw the wood together into a square. You get some good dirt and fill in the square. You get some more wood and create more squares within your square box to separate the pretty plants that you are going to grow. You plant seeds. You water them. VOILA! You’ve got yourself an attractive yet functional garden. He has lots of pretty pictures and uses small words for people like me to understand. I am beginning to really like Mel and I really appreciate my mother-in-law for purchasing this book for me. I’ve got lots of seeds that are all dressed up and have no place to go right now. I’ve got lots of unused space in my back yard just waiting for me to start planting. Wish me luck!
